Greetings to All & Happy March!!
You’re invited to join City Council President Zeke Cohen and staff for a City Charter Review Input Session on the following dates:
March 11th at 6pm – Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. 2812 Reisterstown Rd, Baltimore, MD 21215
March 16th at 6pm – Freedom Temple Church. 2926 Hollins Ferry Rd, Baltimore, MD 21230
March 25th at 6pm – Coppin State University. 2500 W North Ave, Baltimore, MD 21216
These sessions are designed to hear directly from residents as it pertains to changes to the City Charter, and your voice would be incredibly valuable. The Charter is the source of law that contains the structure and form of government that the people of Baltimore can change, as well as the powers that the city government can exercise. The Baltimore City Charter is like our Constitution.
Please see the attached flyer for the events, which contains the dates of the input sessions in addition to a website containing the same information, as well as the actual City Charter. You do not have to study up on the Charter to participate, these sessions are meant to be a learning experience for residents. CMs, in addition to staff will be there to walk you through the Charter.
